Overview

This Film Studies class is designed to help students game a greater appreciation for film. During the course of the semester we will view films from various genres, directors, themes and time periods and reflect on them. For each film that we watch there will be an assignment to be completed.

Course Objectives

• Introduce the students to basic film terminology and techniques.
• Help students develop skills of perceptive movie watching and analyzing.
• Encourage students to discover various aspects of film.

Materials 
You need the following materials for class:

• Notebook for taking notes and writing reflections.
• Folder for keeping handouts.
• Pen or pencil for writing.
